Do you like to run, but your knees do not? Or do you want to get a workout in but you’re stuck at home?
Jumping rope is a great alternative to running for a variety of reasons. First of all, it’s easier on your joints, especially when you do a two foot jump. You take ALL your weight on BOTH feet rather than have the weight distributed on one foot only. This lessens impact.
You can jump rope ANY WHERE, you can take your jump rope traveling with you, you don’t have an excuse NOT to get a quick workout in when you have a jump rope to workout with.
Here’s a quick little full body workout that you can do anywhere.
Do one minute of each:
- jump rope
- prisoner squat
- jump rope
- decline or incline or regular push up
Repeat this circuit 3-4 times.
