Pick your poison’ where weight lifting (rep range) is concerned, just make sure you do so with maximal EFFORT whichever route you go.
’Heavy’ or ‘light’ is a matter of personal preference as long as you’re lifting.
Workouts don’t have to last hours, you can mix up the heavy/light combination to reap all the benefits that resistance training provides.
It can be intimidating if you’ve never done resistance training, or if you’ve taken a break from it.
You may think that you’ll injure yourself in the process of getting fit, but you’ll more surely injure yourself by NOT making efforts to get fit. My client Barb has found that having some direction allows her to push her limits, knowing that she has the support of a coach to keep her safe.
Think about this:
- You go to your accountant for tax advice.
- You go to a lawyer for legal advice.
- You see a dentist to take care of your teeth.
- You call the plumber when your toilet is backed up.
Getting fit is no different.
You can ‘buy speed’ by investing in a coach that will save you energy, time and potential injury.
Something to consider.
Happy to help you get started, where ever you are in your journey.
