Stacy reached out for help with overeating on the weekend and here’s my advice to her…
I suggested that she increase her calories at the beginning of the week.
She was white knuckling it with low calorie unsustainable eating at the start of the week which was leading to excess hunger and an inability to resist temptation later in the week.
Will power will only go so far…
I also suggested scheduling in a planned treat to look forward to.
There’s room for all types of food, even ‘guilty pleasures’ in moderation.
Be the way, I don’t like to label foods ‘good’ or ‘bad’.
Food has no morality, there are just some foods that are more nutritionally supportive and should be eaten more often than less nutrient dense foods.
