We all overeat from time to time. Don’t worry, you haven’t just gained a bunch of fat.
For every gram of carb that you ingest, your body will hold 3-4g of water so the scale WILL be up. But rather than sinking into the abyss of despair…
Here’s your 3 step plan:
Relax & drink up – Even though this may seem counter intuitive, hydrating will flush out the excess water.
Fast until noon the next day – This will reduce about 30% of your intake the day after a binge. If weight loss is your goal, you need to be in a caloric deficit, but it’s really over the week that counts, not necessarily day to day. So you can still create the deficit in the week.
Get your sweat on & get back to routine – This is the big one. It’s not that we never fall off the wagon, it’s how soon we get back on that determines our long term success.
Look, life & food are meant to be enjoyed. I hope you’re not a slave to your ‘health’ plan. It just doesn’t have to be that way.
If you need a ‘doable’ plan to get sustainable results without starvation, deprivation or hours of exercise, I’m here for you. It’s often the accountability that makes the biggest difference with my clients. The fact is, many women know ‘what’ to do, it’s the consistent application that’s often missing.
