Supplement Advice for Menopausal Women

As a health & fitness expert, these are the supplements I got asked about this week alone…

Berberine?
Tart cherry?
Ashwagandha?
Probiotics?

My answer to all of them?

Don’t ‘major’ in the minors…
.
No supplement will make much difference unless you have the basics covered.

What’s most important for optimal health and weight management?:

  • Appropriate calories
  • Adequate protein (0.8-1g per lb desired weight)
  • Adequate fiber (15g per 1000 calories ingested)
  • Adequate sleep
  • Stress reduction
  • Daily movement (including some strength training)

These are NOT sexy solutions that you can buy over the counter or even with a prescription.

Because, sadly you can’t buy a quick solution.

But this is the BEST news because for majority of you, all these things are within your control.

So focus on these basics FIRST, and once you have these dialed in, consider other ways to optimize your health.

And of course, reach out if you need support with any or all of it!
