How NOT to Handle a Special Occasion

It’s not the celebratory meal that’s your weight loss problem.

When you have all the other meals dialed in:

  • the birthday cake
  • Christmas dinner
  • the New Year’s Eve champagne
  • insert food related celebration

These don’t matter much.

Here are my best tips for handling special occasions:

  • Don’t stress
  • Enjoy
  • Focus on the friends/family
  • Eat what you want
  • Stop eating when you’re full
  • Drink lots of water
  • Go for a walk after a meal when possible
  • Resume your healthy routine after

There are ‘seasons’ of celebrations from time to time that you’ll need to plan around because EVERY meal can’t be a fiesta 🪅

Be intentional to pick & choose when you’ll indulge.

Building a healthy relationship with food takes time.

It starts with creating awareness around your daily habits around food.

Food logging is very helpful to this end.

So is having an experienced coach to provide direction and accountability.
