Trust Yourself

Trust yourself.

You’ve lived in your body for decades.

Listen to what your body tells you.

You’ll know all the answers when you pay attention to the clues it gives you.

Admittedly, I didn’t listen ‘exactly’ to doctor’s orders after my umbilical hernia surgery.

This little workout was 6 weeks post op and likely more than what my doc would recommend to most patients.

But I’m not ‘most patients’.

I’ve listened to my body for years so I gradually increased intensity with movement avoiding core loading/bracing movements. If I felt my abs engage in any sort of painful way, I backed off.

Progress was VERY slow in the beginning, but I was happy to do ANY kind of movement at first.

My suggestion to you is to TRUST YOURSELF – whether this is with exercise, rehabilitation, diet or anything.
