4 Self Care Tips to Handle Tough Times

Are you going thru a rough patch?

It happens to all of us from time to time.

Currently I’m employing these 4 tips as I navigate a time of family loss & business changes:

1. Protect your sleep – You can handle all ‘the things’ better when well rested.
2. Move – Gentle movement, like taking a walk can relieve stress, having a calming effect, boost Vitamin D & melatonin production. Now may not be the best time for super hard workouts as your nervous system maybe over taxed & more para-sympathetic (calming) movement might be best.
3. Make your nutrition count – Your body needs nourishment during stressful times more than ever. Load up on proteins/veggies/water & if possible, keep alcohol to a minimum.
4. Lean on others – Your tribe will have your back if you let them.

I’m trying to take my own advice as I navigate the loss of my father.
