I have a new job opportunity for you!
Are you ready?
It’s called your workout and it’s the most important job you have in your life. In fact, it should be your SINGLE PRIORITY if you’re getting close to retirement or you’re already in retirement.
Even more of a reason to take this new job.
Let me explain…..
You may not like working out, or you may just not be sure what to do if you set foot in a gym. Heck, maybe you’re busier than you’ve ever even if you’re no longer working or working less hours now because of grand kids, hobbies, and traveling.
It could even be that you feel so out of shape that you think working out isn’t even an option for you anymore.
No matter which of these categories you might fall into, the best piece of advice I can give you is to treat your workout program like your new job.
You should show up just like you show up for work.
Think about it….you don’t decide if you are going to go into work everyday, you just do.
Whatever time of day works best for you, put it in your schedule and STICK TO IT!
Nobody has the willpower to make a fresh decision every single day to go workout based on how they ‘feel’.
You simply have to put it on “auto-pilot” and just GO or you’ll quit. So you can pick out a time that works best for you and create a true habit of working out.
Another way to look at it is think about when you were raising your kids, and you made them brush their teeth or clean their room.
There wasn’t a discussion about whether or not this was going to get done right?
It was a non-negotiable.
Your workout program should be the same.
Your life literally depends on it.
When you start looking at your workout as your new job, as something that you will not sacrifice for other things (because you can’t afford to) you’ll no longer have dialogue with yourself each day and week about if you should get started, if you should go, or how much you should do.
It will simply become part of your routine just like your morning coffee!
This advice is true for everyone, but especially as we age because after age 50 things can go downhill or uphill in a hurry!
Statistically, those of you that are 50+, you are probably going to live a very long time. The question is…..what’s that life going to be like?
The good news is, it really is YOUR choice.
And I want to help!
I’d love to show you how you can keep doing all the things you NEED to do, LOVE to do, and WANT to do for as long as you want to do them.
