Are My Abs Even Working??

If you feel like you’re doing everything right, you’re exercising, doing ‘ab moves’ and NOTHING is happening to your belly, you might just not be contracting your belly at all…

If you’ve had any abdominal surgery or trauma, your ‘transverse abdominus’ may not be firing. This is one of the four abdominal muscles and it’s critical for a flat belly and pain free movement. If your transverse muscle is weak or underdeveloped, you may experience back pain, especially while doing planking movements like push ups. Your posture will suffer and your belly will protrude when you have a weak transverse muscle.

Here’s a short video where I describe how to re-engage the transverse abdominus so that you can strengthen the core and flatten your tummy:

Once you discover how to engage the core, you’ll be well on your way to flattening your belly, especially if you also modify your eating.

The great news is I cover the 5 most important aspects of belly fat loss in my Mini Menopause Makeover Challenge, I’d love for you to join me for free here:
