Airport Delay Workout….

What do you do when your flight is delayed 4 hours?

Obviously bust out your jump rope…

I couldn’t sit another second.

Delay after delay in the San Fransisco airport had me and the rest of the passengers frustrated. Many succumbed to the water, ‘Cheez It’ and ‘Famous Amos’ cookies offered to us after our original flight departure time changed from 7:20, then 9:15, then 9:40, then 9:50 and then finally 10:10 pm.

Rather than continue to sit and continue the frustratration, here’s what I did:
45 seconds work, 10 second rest:
set 1 – Jump rope
set 2 – push ups
20 total sets

I was so happy when I saw another fellow get off his chair and do his own little workout of push ups in the lounge too!

You don’t have to be stuck in an airport to do this workout. Feel free to bust out your jump rope at home, on your deck, on holidays or pretty much anywhere.

It’s true I’m a jumping fool.

I would have definitely embarrassed my kids had they been with me  but luckily they left on an earlier flight this time. They would have been especially happy that they didn’t have to pretend they didn’t know me as I caused a sweaty scene in the corner. 😉

If you’d like to discover the joys of jump rope, I have a some free jump rope workouts for you here: http://shawnakworkouts.com/jump-rope/

Make sure you pack your jump rope with you when you travel and you’ll be prepared for flight delays too.
