It’s simple and inexpensive. Probably one reason the simple jump rope has been over looked.
The good news about the jump rope is that it’s also easier on your joints than running. Especially when you jump on both feet, your weight is distributed evenly over both feet rather than impacting one foot at a time.
Like any other muscle as well, start off slow, even doing a phantom skip at first. A phantom skip is one with an imaginary rope and when your feet never leave the floor completely.
