Question: I have been doing your pull up program with great success. But I have come down with tendonitis in my elbows. I was wondering if you have thoughts on this. I have been to the doctor and am doing the pt and taking a break from training my arms. Let me know if you have had any experience with this.

Thanks for the program. It really worked! Stephanie

Answer: Stephanie, I’m so happy to hear that you’re improving your pull ups!

That is awesome, but the tendonitis, not so much.

Yes, I”ve experienced a similar issue.

Here’s a few blog posts here and here.

In the second post, you’ll meet my friend, Rick Kaselj, he’s the one that really helped me clear up my elbow pain. In truth, I have to be very careful and not overwork my elbows.

I hope this helps. Really proud of your pull up success.

Question: Hi, I’m 66 years young,(at least for another 2 months), and would like to try your “very” interesting program.  Just one question. Can you use a pull up bar that attaches to the doorway in your home, and if so, will there be limitations on the exercises that can be performed?… Ok, that was two questions. Hope to hear from you soon, Ed

Answer: Hi Ed Wow! So proud of you for tackling the pull up. I’m in good company of ‘bad a$$’ people out there doing challenging exercises.

Yes, you can use the doorway pull up bar and no, there won’t be any limitations to the exercises suggested. Check out the post here and here to see a few places that pull ups are possible.

Thanks for your question, good luck with the pull ups!

Question: Can you do the 50 pulls with bands? Patricia

Answer: Yes Patricia, you’re referring to the pull ups I did here:

Go ahead and do the pull ups with a band and work toward unassisted pull ups. Good luck!

I’ve been talking about why you should CUT BACK on the amount of time you devote to your workouts. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true.

I have a great article for you HERE

Exercising too hard for more than 90 minutes a “week” can actually cause you to age faster. EEK!

Read this article from the editor-in-chief of one of the nation’s largest fitness magazines, Steve Holman.

I just returned from my good ole Dad’s in Kelowna, BC. We had a great time together. It was fun to look at old pictures.

I was a competitive swimmer and here I am with my Dad at an awards banquet. I’m guessing I was about 14. You can see my Magoo glasses, I was blind as a bat. I was a big geek (still am), but at least I don’t have glasses now that I’ve had laser eye surgery. (I don’t believe there’s a ‘geek removal’ surgery available.)

And here’s another one…this was my ticket to freedom at 16, my first car. Man I thought I was on top of the world behind the wheel of this Pinto 😉
