Challenge workouts

Question: What’s the best way to burn fat? Should I do cardio after my workout?

Answer: I get this question all the time. Long, slow cardio on a treadmill or otherwise, is the LEAST effective method of fat loss. I’ve provided you with ‘Metabolic Power Builders’ which are a great alternative to the most mind numbing long slow plods on the treadmill. As well, you really need to check out my friend, Mike Whitfield’s Workout Finishers 2.0.

A lot of folks have asked me questions about Mike Whitfield’s Workout Finishers 2.0 and how they’d be used with their current program. Basically, you throw a finisher in at the end of your workout, it only takes a few minutes and you UP your metabolism to torch fat for hours AFTER your workout. That’s the key. When you’re doing long slow cardio, you’ll burn a minimal amount of calories while you’re working out, but the calorie burning STOPS when you get off the ‘dreadmill’. With workout finishers and other high intensity training, you’ll burn calories while you workout and even more once you’re done. Cool eh?

So today, because I’m a HUGE Mike Whitfield fan, and I fully believe in his program, I’ve dedicated the Q and A to a few videos where you can learn more from him.

Don’t kid yourself, he may act like he’s just a ‘gosh golly sweet fella’, but he knows his stuff, works like a dog (he’s lost over 100 lbs himself), and will help YOU burn more fat than ever (but be prepared to take his name in vain in the midst of the finisher).

Question: How do I choose the correct weight for my workout and for my finisher?

Answer: Here’s what Mike has to say…

Question: How do I ‘tweak’ a finisher to fit my fitness level?

Answer: Take it away Mikey…

Question: How do I make the awesome burpee more awesome or awesome-er? (Okay, I made this question up ;))

Answer: Check out this burpee finisher from Mike…

Here’s that finisher:

Burpee cross body mountain climber 8 reps

One arm DB or KB swing 15 reps
