Charity Boot Camp a Big Hit!

Imagine, if you will, a 6 foot tall man, about 210 lbs, hairy and larger than life, standing in line at the Winner’s fitting room with several (large) black dresses in hand. ape in dressYes, it’s our own Kelly Scott from the 9:30 am camp. The man who got  the whole ‘Little Black Dress’ charity event idea going.

This is a man with big shoulders. He’s endured our teasing for several other LBD workouts in the past until he laid down the gauntlet. If he wore his LBD, would others? Well, you can check out the video to show the fun we had at the three charity boot camps on Friday, February 26th.

The big winner is Brown Bagging It. All drop in fees will go to help make lunches for hungry kids in Calgary. We managed to raise a whopping $855! That’s the equivalent to almost 633 lunches for hungry mouths! Who’s laughing now at Kelly’s hair-brained idea?

Kelly may have big shoulders, but he also has a big heart. Thanks to him for his humility and sense of humor and to everyone else who generously donated. Boot campers all have big hearts; even some that were unable to attend sent in their donation, so thank you, thank you, thank you!

A good time and a good workout was had by all!
