Female fat loss over forty is a challenge for many. One of the misconceptions of fat loss is that long, low intensity cardio is a necessity. This is the farthest from the truth. Studies show that those that engage in short intense bursts of high intensity interval training lose more fat than those that engage in lower intensity longer sessions of cardio. And more fat is lost around the abdomen with high intensity interval training.

I love to do tabata training where by you’d do 20-30 seconds of these types of exercise followed by a short rest or resistance training set. You’d be surprised at how intense your workout can be and how little equipment and space you actually need.
